Choose 1 major work (maybe the best one in your own): The Great Malayan (1940)
Example of an artwork or major work (picture or any). Describe it.

Jose Rizal is considered the Philippine National Hero, he is also considered as the great Malayan. He can also be considered one of the most famous Filipinos. Carlos Quirino's The Great Malayan is a beautiful and comprehensive history of the Philippine national hero. Rizal, José. This book is a wonderful portrayal of Rizal's brief but bright life, from Calamba to Bagumbayan, and is epic in grandeur, overflowing with intrigue and knowledge. Mr. Quirino's book represents Rizal's two meanings through beautiful colors against the chaotic background of a country searching for itself and freedom.

Why did you choose this specific major work & how will you relate this to your chosen strand/track which will lead you to your future field of specialization.

Carlos L. Quirino's particular major piece "Great Murray" is related to my strands/tracks. José Rizal is the noblest in terms of courage and heroes. This regains the youth's enthusiasm for the concept of freedom and independence that our heroes have made the ultimate sacrifice. To commemorate our national hero by proving his value and working towards the development of the Philippine nation. Through the study of Rizal's life, achievements and literature, you can feel a moving and devoted feeling.
