The first documented Catholic Mass in the Philippines was held on March 31, 1521, Easter Sunday. I was conducted by Father Pedro de Valderrama of Ferdinand Magellan's expedition along the shores of what was referred to in the journals of Antonio Pigafetta as "Mazaua".

Why did you choose this specific major work & how will you relate this to your chosen strand/track which will lead you to your future field of specialization.

“The First Mass at Limasawa” is that to be known for the historical records, so that the future generations, to be able to learn to maintain the history for them to know what had happened from the current events. Recently, the First Mass at Limasawa is the First Holy Mass marking the birth of Roman Catholicism in the Philippines.
