Choose 1 major work (maybe the best one on your own)
  • UP Oblation
Example of an artwork or major work (picture or any). Describe it.

UP Oblation

The UP Oblation that became the symbol of freedom at the campus. Acknowledged as his masterpiece and completed in 1933.

Why did you choose this specific major work & how will you relate this to your chosen strand/track which will lead you to your future field of specialization.
Tolentino’s work is not just celebration of physical form; it embodies a quiet sense of dignity and nationalism lost to succeeding artists. I would think that the fire in his work continues to warm and inspire all those who look at any of his sculptures literally face to face.
