Example of an artwork or major work (picture or any). Describe it.
Ocampo's work is rather abstract, reflecting
the harsh realities of his country after World War II.
However, in the 1960s Ocampo developed a new
artistic style of abstract painting. The shapes and
colors found in the paintings seem to move and
multiply. Instead of capturing the appearance of
nature.
Why did you choose this specific major work & how will you relate this to your chosen strand/track which will lead you to your future field of specialization.
Today, it is difficult to learn about Ocampo's life and work, as no government agency has
a collection to study Ocampo's paintings. He painted colorful canvases with extraordinary
ingenuity. Ocampo's fine art and heritage is a source of pride for his host country and a source
of inspiration for artists around the world
